ā@RRigo 1700634 sageoakĀ Hi Robert, Bobby, Rigo! We are so glad you are here and joining our Community. What instrument(s) do you play?Ā
HelloĀ My name is Dawit, and Iām a developer at SBCUSD in California. Iāve been using the IIQ for the past few months and am excited to learn from this community and share insights along the way. Looking forward to collaborating with you all!
ā@dawitĀ Welcome to our Community. We are so glad you are here!Ā
ā¦. have I never posted here? Even with my previous account? Well, thatās silly.
Hullo, Alyssa here. Joined the iiQ community right around when it got started, using the email from my previous school district (sidenote: being able to combine accounts would be very nice...). I provided onsite tech support for 1 middle school & 2 elementary schools, and was an agent in iiQ.
In July 2024, after 12ish years, I made the leap to a new school district. My experience with iiQ may have been part of me being chosenĀ (though, I donāt know what the candidate pool was like). Iām an iiQ admin here and it has been SO cool to see how much iiQ can do.
I really enjoy seeing my knowledge help others, which is why Iām working in schools & why Iām here :)Ā
Greetings,
My name is Al Baker, and I am a Senior Staff Consultant with South Country Central School District in East Patchogue, NY. I recently joined the team, and while I have worked with various ticketing systems over the past ten years in IT, this is my first time using Incident IQ.
I am currently in my third week at the district, so I have yet to fully assess how the system has benefited the school. However, I am eager to ensure that it does enhance our workflows and operations. From an initial review, and based on my experience with other systems, it seems that there's still some work to do in fully configuring Incident IQ. We are just beginning this process.
As part of my role, I have been assigned to assist one of our power users in configuring IIQ to meet her needs around routing, approval chains, and organization setup. Over the past week, Iāve been reviewing her concerns and am looking forward to receiving feedback on the changes I believe are necessary to make IIQ meet the expectations of my colleagues.
It's a pleasure to meet everyone, and I look forward to contributing to this community and learning along the way.
I hope you all had a wonderful New Year!
Best regards,
Al Baker
ā@ABaker 813353e southcountryĀ Welcome to iiQ and our Community! Looking forward to seeing your contributions to our Community and getting your site configured.Ā
Thanks Kathryn. Good to be here. I look forward to getting our system configured and learning more about setting up Incident IQ.Ā
Do people typically post questions about setting up Incident IQ here or do they often rely upon their designated support rep for such things? Or can it be a combination of both?
Best,Ā
Al

Great Question ā@ABaker 813353e southcountryĀ As you are getting set up initially (during implementation), your district works directly with your specialist. However, post-implementation, a combination of working with your dedicated CSM, Community, and Support will be your norm.Ā Ā
Kathyrn,
Ā
Sounds good. Technically the system has been implemented and we are addressing issues after the fact.Ā
Generally speaking, I am looking at the following issues:
- Create missing routing pathways to ensure proper routing of events (pending and approved organizations).
- Fix the calendar integration so that manually approved events trigger the correct approval icon on the calendar.
- Finalize the manual toggle for missing organization names to allow admins to push events through the system without requiring organizations to re-enter their request.
- Fix shortcut routing issues to ensure that tickets sent via the "Send to IT," "Send to Facilities," and similar shortcuts are routed correctly.
If these seem like appropriate topics for discussion here, I can provide more detail. Otherwise I can focus on dealing with it with Incident IQ Support.

ā@ABaker 813353e southcountryĀ Lets go ahead and create a new topicĀ forĀ discussion and we can dissect each of your questions there.Ā https://community.incidentiq.com/topic/new
Thanks. I will post it as a new topic of discussion.
