Can you pull certain tickets out of the ticket view based on custom fields? For example make a custom field that puts in a date, can you make the ticket view not show the tickets that's ate is after todays date until it is that date?

What are you trying to accomplish with this workflow? I think that Due Dates could potentially be the answer you are looking for.
