Hello and welcome to the Incident IQ Community!

We are happy to see you joining the conversation to learn and grow from business professionals like yourself within the community. Before you get started, here are some quick tips to navigate through the iiQ Community:

1. Complete your profile information

Our community is about bringing people together to streamline processes in the K-12 school system. It’s nice to put some information to a name. We have found that the more information you put in your profile, the more likely you are to receive better and quicker replies from other users.

If you have not already done so, navigate to the “My Profile” page to update the following:

  • Add a profile picture (a picture of yourself, a dog, or whatever you would like)

  • Your School District

  • Job Title

  • Tell us a little bit about yourself

  • The city and state where you reside

  • A Signature (a sentence which will appear at the bottom of all of your posts)

2. Use the Search feature before you start a new topic

With multiple help articles, discussions, and questions posted, it is likely the question has been asked before. We recommend that you search the community before you start a new question or discussion. The search bar is conveniently located at the top of every page in the community.

3. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and start discussions

It can be intimidating to some to ask questions or start new conversations, but that’s why you are here, isn’t it - to learn from those around you! There is no such thing as a stupid question and chances are that someone else within the community is wondering the same thing as you. Also, keep in mind that should a reply be too technical or complicated, reply back and ask more about it. Otherwise, users will not know that you need additional information.

4. Be as detailed as possible when describing your question/issue

When starting a question or discussion, be sure to include as much information as possible - images, videos, specific steps you took to get to the issue, the product or platform, integration or app that you are having issues with, etc.

Note: Never post any private information (phone number, email address, etc.). This is a public community and communications should stay within the platform.

5. Be patient & don’t spam

It can take a little bit of time for the right user to stumble across your post or question. Please do not share the same question in several topics as this will clutter up the community, creating frustration for other users who are also seeking advice.
