I just wanted to share what barcode scanners that we use. They are lightweight and wireless. It truly makes everything easier while checking in or checking out devices.

We use the Netum (Model# NT-1228BC) https://a.co/d/e6sVKbh, here is the link to Amazon for the scanners. The batteries last 30 hours, and only takes a couple of hours to recharge with a USB cable. The scanners will can connect via bluetooth or a wireless 2.4ghz USB receiver (included). I only use the wireless with my MacBook Pro and it works great. It will work with all OS, Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and Linux.

We occasionally deal with 2d scanning so we’ve opted the following:

WASP WWS650

Probably could have gotten away with something cheaper.

We’ve been using the Inateck BCST-70  Only have a need for 1D scanning

Cheap and work well.  Works both with bluetooth and usb-A

Tera D5100Y scanner.  This left us open to be able to move to 2D barcodes/QR codes in the future.

We decided not to go wireless as it just removes the ability for pairing issues (BT) and lost dongles (wifi).
