Staff Sign Off form

Is there a way in IIQ or Asset Manager to create a form stating what assets are assigned to a staff member and have them digitally sign attesting to the fact that they do have these devices assigned to them and or create a form also that they can sign off on attesting that the returned the devices apon leaving the district.

Set DateTime Custom Field to Blank

I created a custom field that can be used to keep track of a specific date and time for an asset. I do not see a way to clear that value on the asset when it is no longer needed. Am I missing something or is there really no way to set it to blank once you set that field?

Verifying in My Classes Data?

I see how the Verifying Assets Through My Classes works, but I have a few questions. First, our secondary students are the ones that are 1:1 with the devices.  If we ask teachers to do a check, they only seem to see the results of the “audit”. The next teacher does not already see that it was verified and we as the technology team cannot see that the teacher has done the process?  Do I have a permissions set wrong somewhere?  The very very light green background (needs to be darker!) lets the teacher know at a glance they have already verified the student’s device, but no one else can tell that.  Reports?  Permissions?What would be good for these Chromebooks would be that if we have Google Verification turned on, that the device shows it as Verified on that screen and if it shows Failed due to no logins or wrong logins, then it would show visibly so the teachers can know which students we really need them to talk to.

Updating Asset via API

Does anyone have a payload to unassign an asset from a user, along with setting the verification date? I’m able to pull information from the API for a device but am having trouble updating fields on said asset.

Cart models in districts

Hello,Does anyone else in here have a cart model in their district?  I am currently trying to match our mappings to our Google OU’s .  I want to suggest that our Google Admin Console has to have an OU for every room that has assets in a cart for our schools, if they currently use them.  For example, one of our schools has 17 carts for 17 rooms.  My suggestion is for the OU to look like this, so i can map it in IIQ the same way.Chromebooks>School Carts>LN Carts>LN-103Chromebooks>School Carts>LN Carts>LN-104Chromebooks>School Carts>LN Carts>LN-106etc.Any help will be welcomed.

Labels: How to print to label sheet?

Hello all,I have a questions regarding Asset Label printing. I have seen a lot of teams using Dymos as the primary way to print these labels. Does anyone use Avery 5160 label sheets? If so how do you get those labels from the iiQ export into the template via word, docs, etc? Any help would be amazing!

Audit Manager Automated Update not returning results

I set up a policy in the Audit Manager to verify the assets in one classroom.  The schedule is set for Every 6 months starting on 5/7/25 and At risk 1 Day before failure to audit.  I know the students logged into the devices but when I look at the Assets:Student Devices Policy tab it shows everyone as Pending Not yet verified.  How do I get it to finalize?

Tracking software subscriptions

Hello,Is there a way that IIQ can track the following information for software/online subscriptions?  Name, Vendor, Purchase/renewal cost, purchase date, subscription start date, subscription end date, number of licenses, cost per license and responsible party?  I know I can set up automatic rules to alert on an expiration date, but would like to move all of this info off of my spreadsheets and use IIQ for all inventory, hardware and software.Thanks!

Add fees to the ticket while using the mobile IIQ app

Are there any plans to add a section where after the device is checked in for damage that we can add fees while using the IIQ Mobile app version? I have checked both the iOS and Android version.

Creating new Models by API

Hello, I would like to push the information regarding new models directly into incidentIQ from our Purchase Order lines, and thereby skip the step of requiring my office manager to do the process manually of inputting the new Model information. Does the API support creating new models like it does creating new Assets?

Assigning asset status based on who is checking the item in/out

I’ve been messing with this for a bit today.  Basically we have our IT staff and 1:1 Building Point of contacts.  The 1:1 poc checks in/out devices and creates tickets for 1:1 issues at the buildings.  I want to make it so if an asset is checked in at the school, it sets the status to “In School Storage”.  I would then like to make it that when an IT worker checks it in, it sets the location to the IT warehouse and then sets the status as “In Storage”.  I could do it if I could make different asset rules based on the role of the person doing the work but it seems when I choose role, it’s the role of the owner of the asset not the person doing the work.  This will be our first collection with IIQ and I’m trying to figure out a good flow as we’ll be collecting 7000+ chromebooks from our Junior HIgh and High Schools.  Anyone have any ideas?

Updating an Asset on sync from Google Devices

Good morning! I am trying to create a rule that when a device is in a specific OU in Google Admin, it updates the device to “In Storage”. I am able to do this easily. My question is is there any way to make it update when Google Devices syncs overnight? I have the rule set to “On ‘Updated’”, but it does not update after a sync. Do I have to manually update it for that to work?

'Print Asset Label" Stopped Printing Landscape

When I attempt to print asset labels through IIQ, I am unable to get them to print landscape, rendering them functionally unusable.This is a new development, as it worked correctly before the weekend.This is happening to not just me, but everyone in the department who tries to print asset labels.It is not an issue with my settings or the device, as labels print correctly in landscape in every other instance, including other Chrome locations and in the Dymo application. When I choose to Print Asset Label, I am not presented with the option to adjust the orientation of the print job. Even when I choose to “Print using system dialog...” and ensure that landscape is selected, the label still prints incorrectly. As mentioned, this worked correctly just 3 days ago, but now is nonfunctional.  Is this the result of an IIQ update?Any help would be much appreciated.

Daily check in/out history

I would really appreciate a feature where you could check a box perhaps on the check in/out screen and see a the full history of devices checked in/out for the day. As it is, as soon as you navigate away from the check in/out page, the history erases and you can’t see prior check outs for the day. Even a report option where you can see check outs for a given day would be helpful as well.

My Classes Device CheckOut

We have our teachers checkout/assign chromebooks during preplanning to their students. We have them navigate as follows:My ClassesHRCheck Out Assets When we do this, it doesn’t change the device’s status to ‘In Service’. I would VERY much like to find a way that we could achieve this without having to give the teachers elevated rights. Any thoughts?

Does the API querying have access to Depreciation Information, such as Replacement cost? I get a whole lot of fields back when getting an asset but I do not see Replacement Cost.

Filtering Assets from API call with a command similar to LIKE in SQL not EQUAL

Hey, I am interfacing with the API using Google App Scripts using HTTP post. I'm wanting to grab several assets from a search and filter based on AssetTag. I can easily get something with an AssetTag of 2101011 but I don't know how to get all the assets with an AssetTag starting with 21. Is this possible? I loved to be able to do this. My current json body query looks like:{"Filters":[{"Facet": "AssetTag","Value": "123456"}]}I’d like something like:{"Filters":[{"Facet": "AssetTag","Value": "12%"}]}Which gives me all the assets starting with 12

Clicking asset goes to View instead

When I am viewing an individual user and click on one of their assets, frequently what opens is the last View I had open instead of the Asset record. This has been happening for a few weeks now. I have seen that the system seems to work in layers, so I think what’s happening is that the asset is  hidden beneath the View that comes to the top.  But I can’t get to the asset without trying the whole thing over, or closing the tab and reloading IIQ. I have checked around the borders of the window, looking for an “edge” or some way to get to lower layers with no luck.

Importing Assets - clarifying csv fields and custom field values

In the default asset csv download, there are some fields that do not map to the asset record in IIQ:Retired Date, where does this value in the csv file map? Is the ‘Last Inventory Date” field in the csv meant to map to the “Last Verification” field in the asset record? Finally, if I have a “OnOff” field in the asset record and want to add that field to the csv file import, what value to I provide in the csv? Are these yes/no or 0/1?

Verify Asset Permission Only

We are looking for a way to assign only the verity permission to a certain group of District Level Tech.  We do not want them to be able to edit or delete the asset, just verity it.  Can this be done and if so what permissions would need to be set?

Asset View Foldering

I’m looking to clean up my options once I click on Assets.  Right now I have 14 views that list out every time I click.  This makes it so I have to slide/page down to get to the ‘Check In/Out’ option.  This is especially tedious to do on the mobile app.Is there a way to create a folder system for my views so that I can group them and thus shrink the number of views on my top level?

Filtering asset views by attached files

Are there any ways in IncidentIQ to programmatically (or through a report) access files that have been attached to assets? Or to create views that filter assets by whether or not they have files attached to them?We are interested in tracking images of damage, repair document history etc to assets vs tickets, so we can keep a better overview of the history of damage on devices.
