Our district currently has to use AWS to handle the redirect from our CNAME to our Incident IQ instance. IIQ support has told us they are unable to manage this on their end. Has anyone else run into this? For most of our other vendors, they handle both the redirect and certificate generation, so I wanted to confirm whether this limitation is expected.

I’m looking for a filter to use in a POST to /tickets that allows me to return all tickets based on the “ForId” in the ticket. I know I can do this by returning all tickets and then filtering the list in my tool, but we’re approaching 70k tickets which would be hundreds of pages and an almost 400mb JSON file returned each time, so I was hoping for a more efficient method using a filter in the body. I’m building an automation that randomly selects a subset of users from a very large list of users and creates a ticket with them as the “On Behalf Of” (ForId in API speak). I’m randomizing and limiting so that I don’t overload my techs with hundreds of tickets at once. Once the ticket is complete, there are mechanisms to remove them from the list getting randomized for future batches. I want to be able to create another batch of tickets before the first batch is necessarily 100% complete, so I’m wanting to see if the specific user already has this specific tic

We are exploring the Google Calendar integration with iiQ Events and were wondering if there’s a way to only allow certain event types to export to the Google Calendar? We would like to use it as a public facing calendar so we don’t want internal events like conference room meetings and IEPs to appear on it. Also is there a way to link to multiple Google Calendars so we can separate our events based on building? a full district calendar can get crowded.

An API request using pagination for returning ~74,000 assets results in duplicate values although the total items returned is correct.After doing some research, the issue could be related to non-deterministic ordering on the endpoint. How does iiQ order items in the query on their API endpoint?

Is there an integration that pulls from Mosyle, if the device is online or in use somewhere, like Google and Microsoft do?  We want to do the Smart Audit, but doesn’t look like there is a way to pull the iPad and Macbook info.

Hello: I am looking for where do I find the update. This is saying our connection is not supported. Where do I find the new supported API?   

I am looking for a way to pull out a specific field from our SIS integration with Synergy.Our users sync with ADFS and we do sync with Synergy classes and other data, but I am looking for one specific field from Synergy called " Administrator Name: " How can I add that field to write to IIQ (only a 1 way sync is needed here to write that admin to IIQ)I have put this in as a ticket as well just not gotten any answers if this is even possible.  

It would be extremely helpful if we had the ability to set what time of day that they Google SSO app syncs for importing users.  Right now it seems to just auto sync 24 hours after the last sync was.For our use case, syncing once a day is fine, but right now the auto sync for us is at about 10 am.  Our SIS syncs with Google overnight so we may have a new user registered, but they will not have an account in IIQ until 10am the next day.  That means that the student won’t be able to get a device checked out to them until after that time.  This really hampers with the workflow of our Library staff.I would be great to have the ability to set the syncs to happen overnight after our SIS sync time so everything would be ready to go every morning.

Is there a way to sort iiQ Knowledge Based Articles within categories/subcategories by non-alphabetical means? Like could we assign a priority to an article based on number of tickets received and bump that article to the top of the list within a category?

Hello! We are beginning to process fines in IIQ for staff users. We utilize Intouch for our payment system. It was discovered that there was a recent change to staff IDs in InTouch from the recent migration to Qmlativ. I was informed that if we need to add staff fines to IIQ, there will need to be a crosswalk done to the IDs in IIQ so that the IDs match in both systems.  Intouch let me know that someone from Kent (or from IIQ) would need to do the crosswalk. Student fines are working great and have not been an issue. Has anyone else encountered this? I have already looped in our CSM but wanted to put this in the community as well. Thank you!

We have an integration with FileWave. When our iPads are imported in, the model “iPad” shows up in the Model Mappings tab. We currently have it mapped to just Apple iPads. We would really like it to sync with the actual model of the ipads (10th, 9th, 8th generation, etc.) so that we can better track the age of devices. Right now - we have over 3,000 iPads that all say model “iPad” any help would be appreciated. 

I am trying to have my API pull data from my Parts Views, but when I pull the View using the https://District.incidentiq.com/api/v1.0/views/ViewID, It only pulls the settings of the View and not the Actual Data. I looked through the API Documentation and wasnt able to Find anything to help. Mainly basing the API on https://apihub.incidentiq.com/#0036adef-3067-44a6-80e0-9dc36775ad89

Is there a way I can extract the “replay-to email” from a ticket created using API.Example:Someone creates a ticket, I get an email where I can respond to and it creates a comment from the email response. Can I get that email address using API? I know I can get the address by just looking at the sender on my email but the API would make things way easier for a tool I am developing.I tried the https://csd509j.incidentiq.com/api/v1.0/search but it doesn’t seem to provide the email I can use to create comments. 

I am trying to update ticket statuses through the API. The rest api documentation seems to have or used to have a section dedicated to this subject but it is no longer linked to anything in the docs.Everytime I try to update the workflow status nothing changes. I can see related “on update” rules fire but never see any change in the ticket. I also tried to update the subject to see if that was my issue and though I can see the subject update in the timeline log it never actually updates.Is this a limitation of the demo environment or is it not possible to update ticket statuses?

When installing Jamf Pro, it prompts for a username and password. Should I use my own Jamf Pro login credentials for this, or is it recommended to create and use a generic account specifically for installation purposes?

Since there is no SMS notification option for agents, and since AT&T has shutdown their e-mail to text gateway (number@txt.att.net) and Verizon will soon do the same, I need to engineer another method of getting updates to agents via text.  I use Twilio from other monitoring systems to send SMS - how can I create notifications from IIQ to Twilio using webhooks or other API?

There are five fields that you can write to on the Google backend.Asset ID User Location OU NotesI know that through the Google Devices app, we can set filters to set an OU based on filters that are setup (and there is an FAQ article on this functionality).  What I want to know is, are there ways to set write-backs for the other four fields?  I have not been able to find any documentation on that.Thank you

So this isn’t making sense to me, but since nobody else has mentioned it I have to assume I’m overlooking something.We previously set up the Intune app to only create devices and update custom fields, just so we could get them pulled in. Like so:  Yesterday, I checked the “Update Asset” box to update the asset and custom fields so that we’re pulling in current usage data, etc. Shown here: That setting alone is causing the Asset Tag field in iiQ to be overwritten with the Device Name from Intune. So lucky me, I’ve successfully erased about 10k asset tags. We can work through that though… I don’t see anywhere in the options that suggests the device name

Good afternoon ! So ever since the new update that allows label templates has launched I can’t print asset labels on my Zebra ZSB-DP12 label printer. I have tried creating a custom template as the labels are 1.25” x 3.5” and thought that was causing it. However when ever I try to print to it I get the “ Something went wrong when trying to print. Please check your printer and try again” I can send test print labels to it so I know it is connected and I can also send it to different print queues.  Anyone else run into this issue? 

Hi everyone. New to the community, been using IIQ for a little over a year now and loving it until now. My customer success manager asked me to submit my question here to get y’alls opinion so here we go.We’ve run into a hitch though with our SIS integration. We just upgraded from Skyward SMS 2.0 to Skyward Qmlativ. Skyward is requiring vendors to be a partner which IIQ does not seem to want to be a part of so they’re not an official integration partner to use the API. However, we have the ability to send CSV’s using the OneRoster reports. I followed this guide here:Installing OneRoster CSV SIS Integration | CommunityI got everything setup until it said it needed all the reports in a ZIP file? That seems counter-intuitive and of course Skyward Qmlativ doesn’t have the ability to send reports together

Has anyone implemented Okta for SSO? We are struggling with configuration since we cannot access login logs.
