Sort iiQ Knowledge Based Articles not alphabetically

Is there a way to sort iiQ Knowledge Based Articles within categories/subcategories by non-alphabetical means? Like could we assign a priority to an article based on number of tickets received and bump that article to the top of the list within a category?

Staff fines in IIQ

Hello! We are beginning to process fines in IIQ for staff users. We utilize Intouch for our payment system. It was discovered that there was a recent change to staff IDs in InTouch from the recent migration to Qmlativ. I was informed that if we need to add staff fines to IIQ, there will need to be a crosswalk done to the IDs in IIQ so that the IDs match in both systems.  Intouch let me know that someone from Kent (or from IIQ) would need to do the crosswalk. Student fines are working great and have not been an issue. Has anyone else encountered this? I have already looped in our CSM but wanted to put this in the community as well. Thank you!

Model Mappings - iPad

We have an integration with FileWave. When our iPads are imported in, the model “iPad” shows up in the Model Mappings tab. We currently have it mapped to just Apple iPads. We would really like it to sync with the actual model of the ipads (10th, 9th, 8th generation, etc.) so that we can better track the age of devices. Right now - we have over 3,000 iPads that all say model “iPad” any help would be appreciated.

Help with SIS Synergy specific field sync

I am looking for a way to pull out a specific field from our SIS integration with Synergy.Our users sync with ADFS and we do sync with Synergy classes and other data, but I am looking for one specific field from Synergy called " Administrator Name: " How can I add that field to write to IIQ (only a 1 way sync is needed here to write that admin to IIQ)I have put this in as a ticket as well just not gotten any answers if this is even possible.

How to Pull Data from Views using the Api of the parts Section

I am trying to have my API pull data from my Parts Views, but when I pull the View using the https://District.incidentiq.com/api/v1.0/views/ViewID, It only pulls the settings of the View and not the Actual Data. I looked through the API Documentation and wasnt able to Find anything to help. Mainly basing the API on https://apihub.incidentiq.com/#0036adef-3067-44a6-80e0-9dc36775ad89

Extract Reply-to Email from ticket using API

Is there a way I can extract the “replay-to email” from a ticket created using API.Example:Someone creates a ticket, I get an email where I can respond to and it creates a comment from the email response. Can I get that email address using API? I know I can get the address by just looking at the sender on my email but the API would make things way easier for a tool I am developing.I tried the https://csd509j.incidentiq.com/api/v1.0/search but it doesn’t seem to provide the email I can use to create comments.

How to update a ticket status through the API

I am trying to update ticket statuses through the API. The rest api documentation seems to have or used to have a section dedicated to this subject but it is no longer linked to anything in the docs.Everytime I try to update the workflow status nothing changes. I can see related “on update” rules fire but never see any change in the ticket. I also tried to update the subject to see if that was my issue and though I can see the subject update in the timeline log it never actually updates.Is this a limitation of the demo environment or is it not possible to update ticket statuses?

Installing Jamf Pro account for access

When installing Jamf Pro, it prompts for a username and password. Should I use my own Jamf Pro login credentials for this, or is it recommended to create and use a generic account specifically for installation purposes?

SMS Notifications via Twilio webhook?

Since there is no SMS notification option for agents, and since AT&T has shutdown their e-mail to text gateway (number@txt.att.net) and Verizon will soon do the same, I need to engineer another method of getting updates to agents via text.  I use Twilio from other monitoring systems to send SMS - how can I create notifications from IIQ to Twilio using webhooks or other API?

Writeback Data to Google

There are five fields that you can write to on the Google backend.Asset ID User Location OU NotesI know that through the Google Devices app, we can set filters to set an OU based on filters that are setup (and there is an FAQ article on this functionality).  What I want to know is, are there ways to set write-backs for the other four fields?  I have not been able to find any documentation on that.Thank you

Intune App overwriting asset tag with device name

So this isn’t making sense to me, but since nobody else has mentioned it I have to assume I’m overlooking something.We previously set up the Intune app to only create devices and update custom fields, just so we could get them pulled in. Like so:  Yesterday, I checked the “Update Asset” box to update the asset and custom fields so that we’re pulling in current usage data, etc. Shown here: That setting alone is causing the Asset Tag field in iiQ to be overwritten with the Device Name from Intune. So lucky me, I’ve successfully erased about 10k asset tags. We can work through that though… I don’t see anywhere in the options that suggests the device name is mapped to the asset tag field, and nothing in this guide mentions it either. I even tried manually setting the asset tag on one device again, and then ran a full sync again, thinking it was maybe a one-time thing… nope. Overwritten again.Intune doesn’t have an asset tag field that I can load these to and map in iiQ, so I don’t know how

Print asset labels has stopped working since template update. Help!!

Good afternoon ! So ever since the new update that allows label templates has launched I can’t print asset labels on my Zebra ZSB-DP12 label printer. I have tried creating a custom template as the labels are 1.25” x 3.5” and thought that was causing it. However when ever I try to print to it I get the “ Something went wrong when trying to print. Please check your printer and try again” I can send test print labels to it so I know it is connected and I can also send it to different print queues.  Anyone else run into this issue?

Skyward Qmlativ OneRoster Integration

Hi everyone. New to the community, been using IIQ for a little over a year now and loving it until now. My customer success manager asked me to submit my question here to get y’alls opinion so here we go.We’ve run into a hitch though with our SIS integration. We just upgraded from Skyward SMS 2.0 to Skyward Qmlativ. Skyward is requiring vendors to be a partner which IIQ does not seem to want to be a part of so they’re not an official integration partner to use the API. However, we have the ability to send CSV’s using the OneRoster reports. I followed this guide here:Installing OneRoster CSV SIS Integration | CommunityI got everything setup until it said it needed all the reports in a ZIP file? That seems counter-intuitive and of course Skyward Qmlativ doesn’t have the ability to send reports together in a zip file. So now I’m thinking I have to export to some local SFTP site, create a script to zip these files nightly, then send it out to IIQ? That seems like a lot of work that also op

Google Device Data: "Last Login Date" - This is not accurate and is confusing people

I’m hoping someone from iiQ chimes in to discuss this.The way iiQ is presenting this piece of Chromebook data is completely inaccurate. The “Last Login Data” is being extracted from the “Active Time Ranges” field in the API response. Here is Google’s documentation showing the schema:https://developers.google.com/workspace/admin/directory/v1/guides/manage-chrome-devices I have been using this endpoint for years prior to us being in iiQ and it has always been misleading, so even our homegrown reporting solutions for Chromebooks that I’ve built in the past, I’ve always included a disclaimer about “Recent User” vs “Most Recent Activity” not necessarily being linked together.The activity listed there does NOT require login and is NOT tied to the most recent user of the device. “Activity” can be recorded in the Google Admin Console (And in the API response) even when a Chromebook is disabled, it just needs to be powered on and connected to the internet in order to check back in with the GAC.

Google SSO Requires 2 Seperate Syncs to Create and Populate New Teams

This isn’t a huge deal, just an inconvenience: when adding a new group to the team mapping in Google SSO, running a full sync only initially creates the corresponding team in IIQ, but the team will have 0 members. A 2nd re-run of the last sync is required for the team to actually populate with members. My assumption is that running a sync should both create and populate teams in the same job. Steps to replicate:Add a new group to the Team Mappings tab of the Google SSO app Run a full new sync of the Google SSO app Check the IIQ teams menu. The new team will be created, however it will have 0 members Go back to the Google SSO app and re-run the last sync Go back to the IIQ teams menu. The new team will now be correctly populated with members from the Google group.

Web Hooks

So I have read the web hook sections and tried to get it to send any data. But to no avail it wont send data. Following the example all that is sent is the tag ad even that does not seem to be useful. Has anyone else worked with Web Hooks. My end goal is to have tickets show up in Monday.com so I can include them when working through larger projects that need tracking but don't want to loose site of the daily tickets that need resolving.

Fee Tracker Email Notification Doesn't Show Fee

Hi, we have tried every potential solution we have been able to find in the limited support documentation for Fee Tracker, and also by looking through other posts and comments here, but we still cannot get our Customized Email notification for Fee Tracker to list the fee amount, or repair cost. We have tried various dynamic fields when configuring inside the Customize Email tab in the app management in Fee Tracker, but it never has listed the fee in the repair summary. We do want to utilize this email notification to alert departments, and parents of the fees for damaged chromebooks at our institution. Any help would be greatly appreciated on this. Vanco Integration

We are exploring the Vanco integration for fee management next school year. Our district currently uses RevTrak (which owns Vanco).Questions:Can parents/guardians pay fees directly in IIQ with this integration? Does the integration pull data directly from Vanco into IIQ? Is there a way to disable a Google user account with IIQ

We use Google SSO to set up accounts for both our staff and students. Our SIS app (Infinite Campus) pulls in stuff like courses, grades, and status. But, when these students leave or graduate, their status in the SIS gets switched to inactive. That's all good because we've set up data mappings to change their roles from "Student" to "No Access." This way, we can keep track of the number of students and devices we have throughout the year.The issue we're running into is that IQ isn't assigning the "No Access" role because of a message we get from the SIS sync. It says “This user is inactive, but we can't change the role to NOACCESS because they've still got an active SSO account and the role mapping isn't set up for this app." I've talked to IIQ support, and they're saying that since the best way to make users is through Google SSO, I would need to disable these users Google accounts first.So I'm looking for a way to use IIQ to help me disable these users Google account based on the SIS

Getting Custom Fields using API

I currently use a POST:URL: api/v1.0/assetswith a json body of:{"Filters":[{"Facet": "AssetSerialNumber","Value": "<asset-serial>"}]}This works great. I am now trying to get and update the custom field we have which I can see in the response from above: "CustomFieldValues": [ { "CustomFieldTypeId": "long_id_that_im_not_sure_if_i_should_post", "EditorTypeId": 1, "Value": "my value", "IsHidden": false }, ],I’ve tried doing: https://demo.iiqstaging.com/api/v1.0/custom-fields with json value:{"Filters":[{"Facet": "AssetSerialNumber","Value": "<asset-serial>"}]}But this does not work  I am just wanting to get an Asset by its AssetSerialNumber value and then get its CustomField. I’d like to be able to get it and then update it possibility if I need to make changes.

Aspen OneRoster sync failing nightly

Hello,Is anyone else experiencing a sync error with Aspen OneRoster csv and IIQ?  We had been using the same zip file containing 8 csv files, but after 12/12/2024 we are now receiving a sync error.  ERROR: Error converting value 11/16/2025 12:00:00 AM to type 'System.Nullable`1[Spark.Shared.Datatypes.Date]'. Path 'Entity.PasswordExpirationDate', line 1, position 3770. Support is saying that the manifest.csv and demographics.csv and this should work, but we had been sending the files over prior to this date without issue.  I also manually removed the files and uploaded via FTP and still received the errors.

Knowledge Base alternatives or integrations

Has anyone else struggled with the built-in knowledgebase editor in Incident IQ? It seems to be great for basic how-tos and long step-by-step lists, but the tool appears very incomplete and buggy at times. There are a number of things that we’d like to contribute to the already-large ‘Ideas’ pool that seem like they should be here already. Migrating our KB from Freshdesk has been a visual and functional step down and very difficult to bring over.  That said, how did you handle creating or moving your knowledgebase within Incident IQ? Do you have integrations with paid or free documenation tools that you like, or do you just link your docs out to another platform? If it’s not in an integration, how do you make the most of the editor? In our experience, it’s rather clunky. We favor Google Docs-based documentation because it gives us great formatting capabilities for our end-users, but adding more links and clicks to the user experience isn’t always practical depending on the audience or
