One of the challenges we had at the beginning of the school year was getting all those new AUPs signed. As a district we went from paper copies to 100% digital using Policy Manger within iiQ to streamline the process.
To help we created a QR code with the URL of the ‘Lookup Page’ of the policy, which can be found here:
I used a free QR code generator for my example, but there are some really cool QR code generators where you can add your district logo, change the color or shape, and track how many times its been scanned! Here is my sample QR code:
When scanned from your mobile device it looks like this:
Type in the student or employee ID number and click ‘Lookup’:
You will need to click the blue HERE text to access the policy:
This takes you to the AUP so it can be signed. Scrolling isn’t super intuitive. To see the entire policy there will be a separate scroll within the policy itself:
Don’t forget that a custom view can then be generated to show which students have (or haven’t, use the exclude option) signed their AUP. These custom views are always real time ensuring that communication between tech staff, school staff, and users are always up to date.
This process saved us so much time and helped us work smarter and not harder at an especially busy time of year!
