I have established storage units for assets and would like to add additional assets that have been returned to these established units.  I have yet to find a way to be successful adding assets to existing storage.  How do I successfully add additional assets into an existing storage location?

If you are using the batch check-in to do this, as long as you type the storage unit name exactly as it was when created previously, it should pick up and show all slots that are filled and which are available to use.

@DMontero 980f9f3 district279 Thank you for submitting your question to our community! 😄

Are you using batch check-in? @jclark is correct that it will pick up where it left off!

Thank you for your response.  When I tried to use batch check-in, I entered location, followed by storage unit name exactly as I entered it before, IIQ did not bring up the existing location with slots left to fill.  Instead it responded as if I were entering the storage unit as a new location to fill slots. Here is the screenshot:

Thank you in advance for any further assistance you may provide.

I forgot to mention, I believe you have to pick the same storage location as well - which I’m sure you are doing.

Did you try looking up a device that is already stored there just to make sure it was exactly the same?

@jclark That is a good point as well to double-check those already in storage.

Yes, I did double check the location of those in storage matched what I entered in the batch check in.

The issue was our naming convention for the storage location. We eliminated the dash and hyphen and it is now working as expected.

Thank you.

@DMontero 980f9f3 district279 Glad you were able to find that solution!
