I have already submitted a ticket for this, but wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this.  I went to change a location today and when I did, several of our data fields automatically disappeared.  This triggered me to look at other devices recently updated (like within the last 2 weeks) and it is all of them.  Data is disappearing from our asset page when we update location.  I did not test to see if updating any other field caused the same result.  Anyone else noticing this, or maybe needs to notice this so your data doesnt get lost.

We had a very similar thing happen to us as well!  I have had a ticket in on it and no answer back.  I changed many “device fleet” which is a custom field we have and in doing so we got things changed that were not to be changed at all.  We had other custom fields as well as linked data from Filewave all of a sudden change or update as it shows in the time line

FYI This started for us 15 days ago Nov 26th

Hoping I don’t have to go back and fix the missing data.  I sort data with our Area custom field so this could be a huge problem for us.

Any chance there’s an asset rule that’s triggering these things? Something under Admin>Rules>Assets, triggered by “updated”?

We have Google and Jamf for our MDMs and haven’t seen these issues. I hope support gets back to you both soon!

No.  I don’t have any rules under assets.  I do believe this is happening when we bulk update a group of devices.

@christine214 @angiejaeger I just spoke with our Product Team, and they believe this needs to be sent to our Support Team. Please comment with your ticket numbers so I can follow them! 😃

I’m seeing similar things disappear.

If I’ve started a ticket (In Progress) and then change the Issue Type, it will reset the ticket to Submitted. I’ve only noticed this happening over the course of the past few days.

@jjhays Please submit a ticket as well.

I have had a ticket out there for a few weeks on this, #341418 so mine has been submitted also.

@angiejaeger Added myself as a follower. Looks like we are waiting on our Dev team for this fix. 😄

This just became a major problem for our district.  Lots and lots of lost data under our assets.  Fingers crossed our team won’t have to go through thousands of devices and figure out what the values were and update them once this is resolved.

We are submitting a ticket as well.

@matt_prause Thank you for getting that ticket; they will be able to help you best!!

Seeing the same issue! Whenever I update one part of the Meta information for an asset it wipes away all of the other data, just like your screenshot above.

@JDienye 620d27d gmsd Have you submitted a ticket to support yet?
