General Jamf Information in Custom Views

We have the Jamf integration enabled in iiQ which is nice because once a day each asset is updated with the latest information Jamf provides (last time the device checked in, it's IP address at the time, etc.)

Is there a way to isolate that information via custom views under assets?

You pull the metadata in as a custom value during syncs. This would be set up in the General Settings tab of Jamf. Please note, that these values are only up-to-date with the last sync.

Bringing this back up. We are looking at this again. We are wanting to sync 3 specific items from Jamf and have them populate custom fields in Incident IQ (so that they’re available filters and columns in custom views.) However, looking at the guide it leads me to believe that if I check the box for “Update Custom Fields” then all of those other pre-configured ones would push data from Jamf to IQ? Is that correct and is there a way to avoid that?

@bclark Thanks for your question.

As I understand, if you update those fields in Jamf, they will be updated in iiQ unless it is a locked field on the user profile. Still trying to figure out if there is a way to avoid that; let me check in with our CS team. 😄
