Is there a way to import a CSV of asset ID’s that we want to print labels for? The labels are great, but the process is very manual when we have hundreds of new assets that need replacement barcode/ID labels. Part of our verification involves scanning into a spreadsheet that we use to move the devices to the appropriate location for the school year. Also trying to figure out where it is pulling the “Location with Room” data from as there doesn’t seem to be anywhere that I can find that data matched within the Rooms under the “Places” tab.

Hi @BTurton 5176341 mhd - To clarify, are you referring to printing asset labels in bulk for assets that do not yet exist in the system, or for assets that are already present? Currently, there isn't a way to import a CSV file to automatically generate labels for assets that haven't been added to the system yet. Assets need to be added first—either through MDM or by importing a spreadsheet—and each asset must have an asset tag assigned before labels can be printed in bulk.

The "Location with Room" value combines the asset’s location and room into one string. For example, in the label below, this device is located at “iiQ Elementary School” in room “01.”

Please let me know if you need further clarification or assistance.

Thanks!

Hi Ashley,

These assets are already present in iiQ! But we have a number of devices that need to have new asset tags printed and it seems the only way to print the labels is by searching for each device manually and selecting a batch print. What would be helpful would be to take the data that we are already collecting for device movement and assignment and pull in all those devices into a batch label file with the same style of label.

Thanks,

Ben

Gotcha @BTurton 5176341 mhd! There’s a option that may work for this. Essentially, you can create a view by copying/pasting asset tags into it, and then you can perform actions in bulk, such as label printing, from that view. Please see the video example below. (FYI - This method does only allow copying/pasting of 100 values maximum at a time)

Thanks!

Hi Ashley,

This seems like it could make the process easier for sure. Is there a way to import a CSV with the asset IDs that we want to print for? This new view looked as though there would still be a need to type each asset in individually.

Thanks!
