Is there a way to do a “mass” batch check in via importing a CSV or any other way? For example we have a list in a Google Sheet of 125 6th grade students asset tags. Is there a way I can drop them all in or do I have to still scan devices individually ? Thanks in advance! - Dusty
Thanks for submitting your question!
You can mass update assigned users with a csv import. The csv file will need to have the asset tags associated with the correct iiQ users to map the user to the owner field in iiQ. Please keep in mind, the import will override any current asset owners for those devices.
See example below of a sample asset import on the Field Mappings section. You can name the column in the csv for users whatever you would like, just make sure to map it to owner for the target field in iiQ.

Hopefully this answers your question!

Another way you could do this would be to create a custom asset view by copying and pasting those asset tags to make the view. I have a Google slide that demonstrates how to do this: Copy/Paste Slide
You can copy and past 100 at a time and you can do this over an over until you have all the assets in your view. Use the box at the top left to select all within the top page of the view and then use the button on the right that says ‘Select all xx items’ to update them all at once. From there you can use the Other menu > Set Info > Owner and leave it blank to clear the asset owner.

I love that there are many ways to do the work in iiQ! I used to use the copy/paste ALL the time at my district. Hope this helps!
