Moving Linked Assets

You could bulk move the Chromebooks to the new location. Unfortunately I haven’t found a way to move the cart with the devices in it.

Here is a screenshot of how I would bulk move devices in the cart.

@RKleiner 55792fa rocklinusd I would suggest moving the cart and then moving the Chromebooks to follow. 

Thanks for the reply and suggestion! I guess I’m not seeing the value in linking assets if the assets don’t move together, without moving them manually. 

We create “Rooms” for each of our carts. The devices in the cart are assigned to the “Cart Room” location. The cart itself is assigned to the actual classroom location.

We still link the assets to the cart.  This allows us to change the location of the cart itself without having to update the location on each of the linked assets because they are assigned to the cart as their location.

I hope that makes sense.  This is our second year on IIQ, and so far, this has worked well for us.
