Is there anyway to prevent serial numbers from being duplicated?
I feel like this shouldn’t be allowed by default but I’m not sure if I am missing a setting to prevent this.

Duplicate serial numbers are more difficult to track, but the asset tags should not be duplicated.

+1Adding to this - we have several duplicate serial numbers in our Assets currently that we’re trying to manually clean up. Is it possible to add functionality to Merge Assets and accept conflicts between the two records?
Not allowing duplicate serial numbers to be entered or imported in the first place would avoid this issue.
