Great question about un-assigning users from assets. Here is a way that you can do this within the Assets section. You can create a custom view of the assets of the model in question. Then, you will select the models that you want to un-assign and click on Other> Set Info. Then, select Owner from the drop-down, click on Add Field, and select Update Assets.
