Is there a way to see, in an individual Asset’s view, what Asset Groups they belong to? For example, if I make a group for a Rooms’ Chromebooks in a cart, when I select an individual device, it shows me that one device is in the group.

Good morning. There is not currently any way to see which asset group a device is apart of by viewing the asset detail page. Asset groups are meant to be used similarly to an asset view. The difference is that everyone has access to the group compared to views which are more personalized. Something that you could try experimenting with instead is linking the Chromebooks to a cart. That way when you click the linked asset, you can see which cart and room it belongs to.

@SFowler 11770b7 egcsd Thank you for submitting your question to our community! 😄

Just to give you another approach would be to create a view with that asset group as the filter.

Thanks @RIson_iiQ My first thought was linked assets too!

Just wanted to follow up on this thread @SFowler 11770b7 egcsd Did @RIson_iiQ’s suggestion help you solve your question?

I will have to play around with linked assets. Our district doesn’t have the carts in the iiQ as assets, so I would have to create them to link them.

Thank you for the response.

@SFowler 11770b7 egcsd Another workaround would be to create those carts as rooms and assign the devices to the cart room. Just something to think about!
