Unable to Create New Model Category

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Hello,

I’m an admin for our school, and I’m trying to create a new model category for some of our equipment but I’m running into an issue. When I am in the Model Categories section and I click on New Category, I am greeted with the new category window, but it states “This category is Read Only. You can only modify the visibility of it.” Due to this, whenever I want to add in a new model category, I had created some new models in the past, and we have not made any drastic changes to the system that I am aware of. I’m wondering if anybody else has ran into this issue and has a solution.

This is a known issue and our development team is aware. I will keep you updated on when this issue has been resolved.

It seems like the problem has been resolved as I am now able to add in new model categories without the screen appearing as read-only.

I get that same message when i attempt to edit a category provided to me by Incident but when I click new category I don’t get that warning at all.  Do you think you might be editing on accident?  If not, that is a weird one

@Belcher.shane
If it is on the Incident IQ catalog you are only able to change the visibility of that category.

@Hannah Bailey Understood, that is why i thought they might have been editing instead of adding new.

We have a new product that needs to be entered as a new asset. How do you edit the model name or add model names to the drop down? Thanks, cheryl
