Is there a method available to visually assess which assets are allocated to specific rooms?

@Randy Thank you for submitting your question to our community! 😄

Are you referring to like a map or just filtering by the assets in each room?

There is an idea about being able to click into the room and seeing the assets:

Hello @Kathryn Carter

It was the idea of clicking into the room and seeing the assets. Any idea on when this idea will be implemented?

@Randy No update at this time. We have been working on something for facilities that will be translated to IT later. Another similar idea I have linked here. Please upvote and subscribe to those to follow along for updates:

I am looking for a similar solution. We would like to assign our teachers to their rooms and the equipment in those rooms become accessible for easy ticket creation. Example a teacher in room 115 and a printer assigned to 115 will populate on her list of devices to put in a ticket for.

@SMedrano 370326b apsb Do you have MyClasses for your teachers? Under MyClasses, the assets that live in that room will populate for them.

I don’t believe so. Is that an application or function within IIQ?

@SMedrano 370326b apsb It is built within iiQ. Do you have your SIS linked up?

Yes I am told it is. We can populate room numbers automatically but when a teacher and said room wants to open a ticket it doesn’t populate the room items. Only items assigned to them.

@SMedrano 370326b apsb They should be populating under the MyClasses section

Does this mean a user with a class/classroom assigned to them via SIS can see a list of all the assets in that room but as an IIQ administrator we cannot?

I apologize. That is correct. I need to verify they are assigned the correct room in sis.
