Custom Fields Using - Number of instances

Are your requestors running out of space when entering details on tickets? The Number of Instances feature on a custom field makes it easy to add information to the issue within the ticket.

 

When creating a field definition, the Number of Instances refers to how many lines are within the field type.

 

In the example below, we created a field definition for Unblock Websites. Requestors often have more than one website to be unblocked. By setting the Number of Instances to 10, the requestor is able to input up to 10 separate websites to be unblocked.

Once this custom field is created and enabled for use in Tickets, the requestor will be able to see the area in the ticket category. If more information can be added, the Add New button is available when the requestor completes the ticket.
