Using Prefixes in Incident IQ Ticket Template Names

As districts use multiple Incident IQ modules—IT, Facilities, HR, etc.—ticket templates can become hard to distinguish. Adding a simple prefix to each template name (e.g., IT –, Facilities –) keeps everything organized and easy to manage.

 

Why Use Prefixes?

1. Instantly Identify the Module

Templates with similar names become clear when prefixed:

  • IT – Password Reset

  • Facilities – Room Too Hot

 

 

2. Cleaner Admin Management

In the Ticket Templates list, prefixes group templates logically and make filtering or editing easier.

 

Recommended Prefixes

  • IT –

  • Facilities –

  • HR –

Standard Format

[Prefix] – [Template Name]
Example: Facilities – Broken Window
