I no longer see the option in the JAMF app to push data from IIQ to JAMF. Is this no longer a feature, or am I missing a setting?

@MLogan 540aba1 shermanisd Thank you for submitting your question to our community! 😄

Where are you looking for this button? If you look within the manage app settings, there is the Push Data button on the overview page.

Sorry, I described the missing feature incorrectly. Mapping custom values from JAMF under general settings, there is no longer an option to map values from IIQ to JAMF. This option was there a couple weeks ago, but I no longer see it.

I’m really looking forward to this also.

Aside from write back to the static fields in jamf. Could we also write back to custom fields (Jamf’s Extension Attributes)

One thing I would really like to setup would be when devices are set to missing in Incident IQ I want that status to write back to an extension attribute that I will use to place the device in a smart group that applies policies and reporting.

@EDuffield 267cd0c lmsd I think you can map those fields, you would just need to create that custom field within iiQ. Is this what you are looking for?

I want to write “Incident IQ to jamf” Incident IQ Status → Custom Field: Jamf Extension Attribute for Asset Status

@EDuffield 267cd0c lmsd I am not 100% sure as I am not a Jamf expert, but I believe you should be able to

@bclark @Cozmo03 Any thoughts here?

Sorry I didn’t reply sooner.

The fields you can choose from when you select jamf custom value are not the fields I need to write to as they’re already set in their purpose.

I create custom fields in jamf called Extension Attributes. I wanted to ask if there was a way to write back to a Jamf Extension Attribute.

We would want some asset management related fields to be written back to these extension attributes in jamf to allow Jamf to put devices into smart groups based on those asset fields. The fields that are available are all predefined in their purpose and would not be good to use to write back to.

@EDuffield 267cd0c lmsd I think I am misunderstanding. Are those two separate fields?

I’m probably doing a terrible job at explaining sorry.

Right now, if a computer asset’s status is set to missing. I also have to go into jamf and set the extension attribute I made to missing for that device.

When It’s found, it has to be changed in both places also.

I was hoping to leverage Incident IQ’s ability to write back to jamf to write back the device’s asset status. So that in Jamf and Incident IQ they’ll match after a sync.

I’m not really sure what you would put in the jamf custom value field to match it up with the extension attribute created in jamf.

Also for the fields listed under Maps to IIQ Asset Property, asset status isn’t one of the options.

This is the field I made in Jamf that i’m trying to keep up to date.

@EDuffield 267cd0c lmsd I suggest creating a custom field on the asset and then mapping that field to read back and forth. You have it correct in your screenshot as a “custom field”. Here is the knowledge base guide to check out:

You are on the right track for sure!

On the jamf side is a custom field (an extension attribute) on Incident IQ’s side is Asset Status. That is what I want to bring over to Jamf. Right now I don’t see Asset Status as an option to write back to jamf.

@EDuffield 267cd0c lmsd All right, here are the fields we support for Jamf. It does not seem like “Asset status” is on there. I think I was thinking of Google Devices; my apologies.
