Vulnerability management is a vital part of any K-12 school's cybersecurity strategy. It's a continuous process that involves identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and fixing vulnerabilities in a school's systems, networks, and applications.
I haven’t heard this specifically called out with any districts I work with but I think a two-pronged approach would be super valuable!
- An issue category for recording issues such as cyber attacks or data breeches
- A ticket template on a schedule daily/weekly/monthly to perform penetration tests and uncover vulnerabilities
This would allow you to create reports based on the issue category and individual ticket types using conditional filter, such as time (this month, last year, last 30 days, etc).
@NBrites 6073249 austinisd Thanks so much for posting. I love it when districts come up with additional uses for iiQ!

I’d love to hear if any of our other districts are using iiQ for this.
