Hi. Sorry, I meant “Requested by” in the title.

Has anyone found a way (I now there are some fancy coding people in here) in the rules engine to change the “Requested by” to the same person as the “Requested for”? Our teachers submit tickets on behalf of students, but then they are receiving all the emails from the tickets; messages, actions, fees, etc. Is there any fancy code I could put in the “Select or search for a user” that would do this?

I have a few clarifying questions for you.

  1. Do you have MyClasses enabled?
  2.  Are those teachers automatically followers of those tickets? 
  3. Do you want the teacher to always be a follower on the ticket? 

I'm sorry,  I should have mentioned Teachers,  Techs, Admin


@SMillsTVSD So in this case, if they are all followers, you can adjust the followers’ notification settings within Site Options: 

Additionally, you could remove them as a follower via rules so that they are not always receiving those notifications.
