I’m wondering if there’s a way to require users to input specific data based on a ticket issue. For example, if a teacher inputs data requesting a password change, can I input a required field for them to enter the student’s name and system they need the password changed for?

Hi @ATerry 6706fb2 bethalto! Thank you for your question We can easily create custom fields to gather the necessary information from your requestors!
Using the password reset example, you can start building custom fields by navigating to Admin > Custom Fields. Always create custom fields under 'Field Mappings,' and you can easily add a new one by selecting '+ New Field.'
You would select the field name and type. For the student's name, the field type would be 'text.' Make sure the field is requestor visible (so the requester can see it) and mark it as required (meaning the requester cannot submit a ticket without filling it out).
Now that the custom field is created, we can apply it to specific tickets where we want it to appear. To do this, navigate to the 'Ticket' tab and select '+ Add Field with New Conditions.' Choose the custom field we created, 'Student Name,' and apply the necessary conditional filters. For example, you might filter by issue category or issue type.
