We have kb articles that were created and owned by an employee who no longer works with us. I am an admin and I cant edit or delete them. Is there a workaround for this?

Thank you for providing that additional information. Those are pre-popluted knowledge base articles because you have the ClassLink Learning Application installed.

I do not think there is a way to remove those Articles but have reached out to my other CS team members to see if there is a way.

Can you give us an example of the KB article in your site that is owned by that specific user?

I went to test it out and I am able to edit KB Articles even if they are owned by someone else. But I am unable to edit any pre-populated guides that were added by any learning app that was installed.

Under Classlink/Students/Instructios/Parents

I can only change the visibility

@Hannah Bailey -”But I am unable to edit any pre-populated guides that were added by any learning app that was installed.” Looks like the Classlink app is pre-populating the kb articles for this. Thanks for the help.

@Hannah Bailey I also noticed that the application of the articles was pre-populated which is kind of strange because it doesnt apply to all of the issue types that we want it to. This would be really helpful to edit.

Good call out. I would suggest adding this to our idea exchange as an enhancement. The ability to edit or change the visibility of pre-populated articles, as well as the applies too section.

A workaround for this is to un- install that learning application. Go and create a custom model for the specific software. That way you can control the KB articles and what issue type they should be tied too.
