I have created Ticket Templates. One of my subtickets (which is a template) has subtasks. When I create the ticket from the template, the subtasks aren’t showing up.

This is the Ticket Template I have created for Certificated Staff that are resigning.

The Device Subticket - does create a subticket like it should. However, this is what is set up for that template. There are multiple subtasks.

However, when the Ticket Template for Resignation - Certificated (1st picture) is used, the subtasks for the Device Check- In are not being created within that ticket.

Any ideas?

I could create separate subtickets for devices turned in, but would like it to be all under that one ticket.

I just tried to see if I would have the same results if I tried what you’re doing. I am seeing the same issue you describe.

I created a template titled Test 1. It creates a second ticket from a template titled Test 2. Test 2 also has some subtasks in it from template. When I created the ticket from Test 1, it DID create the ticket from Test 2, but like you it did NOT create subtasks associated with Test 2.

I decided to create Test 2 directly to see if that would generate the subtasks, and it DID. So it's something specifically in one template being used to trigger the second in which the subtasks are not being generated.

Unfortunately I can't help beyond saying I could recreate the same issue you reported. Sounds like you found a bug.

@ashleyj Please submit a support ticket for this issue.

I am still looking into it, but the next step would be to submit a ticket!

Thanks, @bclark for testing it out for me! 😄
