Good Morning, Im having an issue where my supervisor can’t login using SSO. His account is showing as authenticated by local provider. In the logs he is showing as being synced. I’m new so please bare with me.

Good Morning @MJobson 810f357 ticsd ! I am happy to assist you with this. Would you mind providing me with your supervisor’s name so I can see what the issue may be? Thank you!

@MJobson 810f357 ticsd thank you for providing that information. I want to continue my communication here, for other districts to reference in case they face the same issue.

Would you please provide me with the email this person is trying to login with? You can private message this information if you wish to. Thank you!

@MJobson 810f357 ticsd When a user is what we call ‘locally created’ i.e. created inside iiQ and not created with Google, it does not properly authenticate the user.

I recommend deleting this user inside of iiQ, and running a sync so that way the user is created by Google and not by iiQ.

You can delete a user by using bulk actions or inside of the user profile page. I included snippets of both below.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if this does not fix the issue. Thank you!

following as we’re seeing similar issues for newer users created over the past few months.

@AJennings 2039489 daretolearn I am happy to take a look for you as well, if you want to PM me with your district and example users you are seeing this with?

Melissa this worked. Thank you greatly!

@MJobson 810f357 ticsd so glad to hear. You’re very welcome!
