Hey @BMaus 9906176 whsd, it’s great that you’re getting involved and feel free to ask away!
In terms of your workflow, I do see that you were able to get the role filter applied and it looks like the assets are navigating to that OU. Are you wondering how this process can be more efficient than the role option? Depending on how many assets there are, you might be able to apply the Assets directly in the filter for which assets needs to be migrated.
Another option that may work is creating a custom field for paraprofessional and applying this custom field to the assets and filtering that way. Could also utilize a location specific or asset owner for these users.
A lot of good options that you can choose from, you’ll essentially just need to find a unique value for these assets and hopefully, my post gave you some additional options to work with!
Hi @BMaus 9906176 whsd thank you for the post! It sounds like you’re right on target. You can filter by role as you’ve mentioned, likewise you could even filter off of a custom field that you have applied to any of your given users or assets. Please see the below resource for further information on write back for Google. I’ve also provided a link to setting up custom fields.
Hello, @BMaus 9906176 whsd wanted to get a little more clarity as to what you are trying to do…
So you have users that you would like to have when a device is checked out to them move to a specific OU? Or are we asking how to move a device to an OU that does not have the person’s exact location in iiQ?
I have a work around I do here to help our techs move devices around in OUs but I want to make sure I help with the right info if i can.
