User was not created because 'Create Students' is disabled.

Where do I go to ‘enable’ this option?

@Amanda McP Thank you for submitting your question to our community! 😄

What app are you using to create your users? What is the SSO? The setting will be within that app.

@Amanda McP Just wanted to follow up on this thread! 😄

@Amanda McP Any additional information you can add to this thread would be helpful! What app are you using?

Please let me know if i should create a new post. Thanks.

Good afternoon Ccruz. Thanks for your interest in this topic and I can chime in with some general information. It appears that the specific question here revolves around the “Import Students” option in SIS apps. This and other “Import” options in the SIS are greyed out for district users, though you can reach out to Support or your CSM with a request to turn any of these options on.

In general though we do no recommend it for a number of reasons, one of which relates to the ability for users to login. We do not pull in authentication information through the OneRoster data we utilize. Additionally, as users can only be authenticated with one app for login, users created through an SIS sync would not be able to login in using their SSO functionality.

With that being said, please reach out to a member of the team to review and, if it fits your needs, have this or other import options turned on as needed. I hope this information helps, and if you have any additional questions or concerns please let us know!
