Best Practice to group laptops with only a Purpose in common

I have a group of laptops of different models that we use as electronic hall pass kiosks.  I thought I’d create an asset group but the models are not the same.  They only share location and their purpose as kiosks.  How can I group them so I can view them all?  Thank you.

Hi ​@STPittsinger You could link the assets to tie them together for ease of reference. Please see the link to the knowledge base guide below. 

 

 

Would this still allow for tickets for individual assets and not for all the assets that are linked?  I hope that makes sense.

Yes, this would still allow for individual tickets. Another suggestion would be to create and use a custom field. You could use the custom field on the assets, then create a custom view using the custom field as a filter.

We have assets like this checked out to a local/manually created iiQ user, ie [School Name]-Office.

You can export linked assets now, which is a huge improvement and might be helpful for this, too.
