Hi ​@BHenker ! Unfortunately we do not have a feature that would notify staff if a fee is due before checking a device in. A few work arounds would be:

1. Create a custom view of users that owe fees/fines and have this open in a separate tab or window during check-out, so they can refer to this before checking in.
2. Look up the user accounts and view any fees/fines directly from their profile.

Completely agree with ​@Melissa_iiQ this would be a great addition to the Idea Exchange!

We do have an option using Rollout Scout, aka Batch Deployment that will display this information (and other custom field options for a user) while checking out a device.
For Fee Tracker Balance setup it looks like this:

And once set up it displays like this during Batch Check Out:

I think it would be awesome if we could display the same information on Check In! It would be super helpful when collecting devices to be able to give a gentle reminder that there is an outstanding fee/fine. What do y’all think?

I like this as well.  I think it would be great.  The only thing that I can think of that may not work for our district is that we do not have student ID cards.  Only our middle school has things like that so I may have them try it out doing it this way.  For our High school, they only give us their laptops, and I have to open it up to see what it is signed into, to see what the fees they have on our Audit Report.  But if I ever have to leave the desk for any reason, I want it to be done like I was still signing people out (if that makes sense).  Granted all this can be done if I have a little meeting to say how this is being done but was just curious if we could take the middle step out (going to our SoS system and printing the report out). 

And I guess if this explains it better, I would like to have the Asset tag to be the identifier with the owner of that device to be able to follow that asset tag. (for example, I would like to have when 2223456 device that is owned by John Due, to get the alert that John Due owns us $15 for a charger.  But if Susie May has 2223456 to not have that fee since she does not have the fee on her name)

Fees/Fines (whatever your district calls them) can be attached in several different ways. 

1. Attached to a ticket where the on behalf of user and asset are also assigned to the ticket. This associates the fee/fine with the ticket, the user, and the asset.
2. Attached to a ticket with an on behalf of user but no asset.
   This associates the fee/fine with the ticket and the user.
3. Attached to a user from the user profile.
   This associates the fee/fine only to the user.
4. Attached to an asset from the asset profile
   This associates the fee/fine only to the asset.
5. Creating the transaction from an asset view in bulk (the devices have to be assigned an owner to do this).
   This associates the fee/fine to the asset and the user.
6. Creating the transaction from a user view in bulk.
   This associates the fee/fine with the user.
7. Creating the fee/fine from a ticket view in bulk.
   This associates the fee/fine to the requestor of the ticket, as well as being associated with the ticket and any asset on the ticket.

I knew it was a lot before I started typing it all out, but there really are many ways to bake this iiQ cake!
