Filter Devices by OS Version

Hi ​@nathaniel_lindley Thank you for your question! There is an active issue with the custom field values across all integrations.

I just logged into your site to see what we could do to customize this and the drop down is not displaying any fields, which is similar to what we are seeing with other districts.

Our team is aware of this issue and is working on it at this time. Once it is remedied, we can look into the filters that SCCM offers to be able to bring in that information. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback, your support team indicated the same thing.   We would love to be able to utilize some of the custom field reporting that the integrations offer.   In this case “OperatingSystem” in other cases like Mosyle, the field that indicates 1:1 or Shared is helpful for our inventory needs.

Custom fields are now showing up in Views, we have created a view for each school that shows all Laptop models that we plan to upgrade to Windows 11, and then have a “Windows OS” custom field with two choices “10 or 11” and then a filter that says to Exclude “11”.   This is working. 

However, if we could pull the data from the Integration of Windows OS version from InTune automatically and match that it would be more precise.  for now, after we upgrade to Windows 11, we have to manually edit the asset to include the “11” in the Custom Windows OS field.

Yes, I believe it is working now in our View Design.   See screenshot of simple filters for Computers and Windows OS reported version from Intune.

Unfortunately, I see this as still problematic (though an improvement)…
What… we (users) have to manually go in to the report to add new dot versions of Windows releases as Microsoft releases them?  Not ideal.
And the view doesn’t have any ability for a “greater than” option… so, I see this as a half baked Assets View report from iiQ.

Hello?  Is anybody else unsatisfied with this solution?

Thanks for the reminder jo.cpa!  I went back into my filter by OS version and added 3 more variations of Windows 11 - and a few more Windows 10 vartions to my other OS View.
