How to download the "Timeline" history of an asset?

Hi ​@DMcDermott 15349b5 lawtonps ! Unfortunately, we do not have the option to export an Asset Timeline at this time. There is an idea in our idea exchange similar to this. I would visit this link and upvote it! 

Are you just looking to filter on the date the device was assigned to the new owner? I can see if there is something we could filter on for a custom view and export it from there?

Thank you for the quick reply Melissa.  It is not so much a filter on when a device was assigned to the new owner, but the complete history of that device.  I have been asked to provide a report that shows the full name and date of when the devices were initially assigned to a student and then provide the history of that device, including when it was reassigned, missing, lost, or damaged.  The only place I have been able to find that so far is under the “Timeline” tag for each particular device.  I have been hand-typing as I scroll through the timeline to find this information.  

​@DMcDermott 15349b5 lawtonps  correct. The only centralized place to find that information for an individual asset would be on the asset timeline. 

We may just have to get creative with our filters for the custom views to be able to export them. Do you need this for every asset or just particular ones? I ask because you could potentially add the ‘asset’ filter and drill down on a particular asset/asset(s).

I will play around with this real quick.  I can easily add an “asset” filter based on the purchase order from those devices.  I will keep you posted.

It kind of works. I can export the data but not the complete history of the devices. I added two extra columns to the export, “Deployed Date” and “Previous Owner,” which provide one previous owner, but there is no export field for all the previous owners and the dates that the device was assigned.
