When I attempt to print asset labels through IIQ, I am unable to get them to print landscape, rendering them functionally unusable.
This is a new development, as it worked correctly before the weekend.
This is happening to not just me, but everyone in the department who tries to print asset labels.
It is not an issue with my settings or the device, as labels print correctly in landscape in every other instance, including other Chrome locations and in the Dymo application.
When I choose to Print Asset Label,
I am not presented with the option to adjust the orientation of the print job.
Even when I choose to “Print using system dialog...” and ensure that landscape is selected,
the label still prints incorrectly.
As mentioned, this worked correctly just 3 days ago, but now is nonfunctional.
Is this the result of an IIQ update?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Same issue here. We have the new custom label option in admin. The preview looks correct, but it refuses to toggle to landscape. We cannot print the durable 1x3.5 durable labels on a Dymo 550.
Same here - had a coworker message me since she’s having the issue. I can possibly work around it with the Dymo software but she’s on a Chromebook so it’s tougher. Looks like a site update went out over the weekend… I submitted a ticket to support.
I thought maybe it was browser-related, so I tried saving it to a PDF in Windows, and it still seems to be in the wrong position to print.
Ok, it’s not just us… good! (Not actually good)
I started getting messages about this at 6AM and have been fighting with it since then
@jclark Happy Monday (kidding, but I’m glad it’s not just you).
@Hannah Bailey @Kathryn Carter Does anyone at iiQ have eyes on this yet by chance?
I just ran into this myself. I don’t believe this is an IIQ issue but rather a Chrome bug. Before updating the browser this morning I was able to print labels with the layout option. After updating to the latest 135 build I lost layout options in Google Docs, IIQ, etc. but other webpages will still show the layout option.
Good Morning Everyone!
I have reported this to our Product & Support teams that districts are experiencing issues this morning. Please take a moment and submit a support ticket so we can best track who is affected by this. Thank you!
When I have an update, I will provide additional details to you.
Follow up Question: what browser are you using? If chrome, did you update? Additionally in your ticket, please add the following information:
Template Name
Hardware (printer)
Label Size
Operating System (Windows, Mac)
Browser
Thank you! I believe this is a Chrome issue as well.
Windows 11 with Chrome 135 here.
Oddly enough, I can see the layout options if I’m trying to print an email to the label printer, but not a Google Doc. So…partly a browser issue I guess?
I was using Edge Version 135.0.3179.98. I even tried it in Opera 118.0.5461.60 - same result. I did submit a support ticket earlier this morning. It was on Windows 10, Dymo 550 with a 1x3.5 label. I edited the default template in the new Label Template feature.
Latest response.
“After investigating, I was able to identify and replicate what you were experiencing. I have passed my findings to the development team and am currently waiting on getting an ETA for an expected planned maintenance release date.”
This issue is not just occurring on Chromium-based browsers. I tested it in Firefox and the problem is the same.
Edit to add:
Tried Chrome 135.0.7049.85 and Firefox 137.0.2
Windows 11
Dymo LabelWriter 450 with 1 1/8” x 3 1/2” labels
Here is the asset label setup.
FYI Firefox is having the same issue, I am wondering if any Mac users are experiencing this issue.

A user I have been communicating with on a Mac has the option to print in landscape in Safari but the label is blank - I’m assisting via Teams chat so I can’t see it to know if the issue is directly related to this or a separate issue…

I grabbed a new Dymo 550 and tried it on macOS Sequoia. I may not have my settings right yet, but it sees it as 6 pages (??) when I use Safari and switch it to landscape. Portrait shows as 1 page, but is blank.

I am on a Mac using Sequoia 15.4.1 with Chrome 135.0.7049.115 and Firefox 137.0.2 same results. Labels will not print and I do not believe this is a browser issue at all. Ticket being submitted also
I am having this problem also on a Zebra ZT411. I have tried 2 printers, and it will not print correctly.
We are experiencing the same issues here. Our techs were able to print last week in Chrome to our Dymos but not today. Interestingly, some are able to print the asset labels in Safari but others can’t. We could not get it to print either when saving it as a PDF first.
Please let us know when this problem is fixed. Thanks!
If you have not already, please submit a ticket to support so we can track all of those who are experiencing this issue.
This has been escalated to high priority and we will share an update as soon as one becomes available. Thank you for your patience with this.
Having this issue as well.
Windows 11 Dymo 550 Chrome and Edge
Hi everyone! There was a fix that was deployed late yesterday!
If you are still experiencing issues, please reach out to support! Thanks.
We tried it on two different Windows workstations, but it still does not work. It is behaving like the Mac did yesterday, where it breaks the label into five pages when you choose landscape. I just replied to our support ticket. We are on Win 10 and the Dymo 550 with a 1x3.5 label.
Hi @sestep,
It sounds like the headers and footers may be causing this problem. Could you re-attempt to print by removing margins or setting it to None and re-trying.
Thank you
Thank you. @JLee_iiQ I did select “none” and can now get it to print, but it cuts off the first line. We are selecting 3 lines in the new tool, but cannot get it to print properly. The preview looks correct. I will update our support ticket.
