I’ve been looking into using the batch check in/out feature at our secondary sites. Is there a way to verify, within batch check in, that an asset belongs to the student returning it prior to actually completing the check in process? We recently held our senior reclaim for the year and had some students turn in devices that were not assigned to them.

Thanks!

Hi @JGraham ASDK12 there is unfortunately not a way to verify who an asset is assigned to when using Batch Check In. We do have a relatively new feature called ‘Asset Exchange’ that allows you to quickly look up a student, find the device assigned to them, and you could also mark that device as missing or stolen (if necessary). This could be a work around?

Here is a community article for Asset Exchange:

FYI- if you are not seeing this where you see your Batch Check In/Out Options, your Admins may have to enable it in permissions.

I hope this helps!
