Just out of curiosity, is there anyway to add date on the export with a variable so it doesn’t get over written?

I do not want to keep changing the dates especially if it’s a daily export.

@JLee 877aada wantaghufsd Thank you for submitting your question!

Are you referring to the date ranges you are adding as a filter to the view that you end up exporting?

If so when you add your date range filter there is the option of moving date ranges. For example you want the report to show from the previous week, there is a moving date range option of Last Week and will continually update the dates from the previous week.

Does this help answer your question?

Thanks!

No, I was referring to this.

On the path there should be an option to have a variable or something so the file name is different and doesn’t get overwritten daily.

@JLee 877aada wantaghufsd Good morning! Not sure if there's a way to append a variable date when exporting a view to an SFTP right now. I'm checking in with our engineers and will keep you posted with any updates.

Thanks!

Best,

Ashley

@JLee 877aada wantaghufsd  My apologies. I understand what you are referring to now.

Unfortunately I don’t believe that is an option at this time but would be great for you to add in Idea Exchange.

Thank you for your idea!

@JLee 877aada wantaghufsd depending on where this is exporting to, if it’s a local server/VM you may be able to place a script on that machine to monitor the folder for a file of a specific name and rename it to append the date to the end.

If you post this as an idea, it gets my vote for sure. Unfortunately the ideas posted can tend to take a while to develop implement if they make the cut, so I’m just suggesting the script as a workaround. We’ve run into a lot of immediate needs that we’ve had to get creative with while we wait on iiQ to potentially implement it as a feature of their products.
