Is there an easy way to collect asset work history?

One of our facility administrators recently asked whether there's a way to share work order history and asset data with outside vendors who are coming in to service an asset.

For example, if we have a problematic RTU with multiple work orders attached to it, our technicians may have already documented troubleshooting steps, replaced parts, and added detailed notes over time. It would be extremely helpful to be able to provide that historical information to a vendor before they arrive or as part of their service request.

Is there currently a way to easily export an asset's work order history, including technician notes, labor details, parts replaced, and other relevant information, into a shareable document or report?

At the moment, the only method I can find is to open the asset timeline, manually review each associated ticket, gather the relevant information, compile it into a document, and then provide that information to the vendor. This could be time-consuming, especially for assets with extensive service histories.

I'm curious if others have found a more efficient solution, or if there's existing functionality within IIQ that I'm overlooking.

@gmorales 267f729 beaverton Thank you for submitting your question to our community! 😄

I believe one of our newest releases will be perfect for you! Our new Technology Break/Fix Report turns the ticket and asset data you already track in Incident IQ into clear, actionable insights, so you can audit and understand your district’s hardware repair costs at a glance.

This should enable you to pull that data for your assets along with important information of those devices. I hope this helps 😄

Thanks @Kathryn Carter . Is this super new? I don’t even see Technology Break/Fix Report as an option I can select in the permissions. Is this something our main IT/iiQ Admin would have to enable for us? I’m an admin just for our facilities module, and our IT team has the primary admins for the software.

@gmorales 267f729 beaverton Looking at your question again, I have realized this is a Facilities question. The new Technology Break/Fix Report is only offered within our IT Ticketing module for now. One option for this information would be to create a custom view with those devices and their ticket history & allow those users to log into iiQ to review the asset’s history.
