I recently started using the dictation feature built into Chrome OS to respond to tickets. For some reason it includes several paragraphs of unwanted formatting at the end of the reply. Is there an alternative I can use? Or is this a bug that needs to be fixed?

@MPhillips 893c52c whitnall Thank you for submitting your question to our community! 😄

I am not sure of this new feature. Are you using this via the app or via web browser? Can you provide a screenshot of what formatting you’re referring to? I am not sure if this would be on the iiQ end or on the Chrome feature but I will see what I can do.

Hi @MPhillips 893c52c whitnall ,

I hope you’re doing great! Could you please disable any conflicting extensions? You can click on the three dots in the top right of Chrome. Once you click on the three dots, a list of options will appear. Click on “Extensions” and then on “Manage Extensions”. Here, you can toggle off any recent extensions, especially speech-to-text or auto-correct tools.

After disabling the conflicting extensions, please let me know if the extra paragraphs disappear when you reply.

Regards,

Jas

It turns out the error was not caused by dictation. It was caused by cutting and pasting without converting to plain text. My response to this user included Cutting and pasting a refresh arrow.

Thanks!
