Does the API support creating KB entries?
Or is their any other method for efficient KB article creation?

We have a lot of documents we have created for new policies and systems, and I’d like to know what options are available with the iiQ KB for efficient KB article creation.

@jo.cpa Thank you for submitting your question to our community! 😄

Let me tag our Community API experts for this: @curtis.bohlmeyer @bclark @MattHenry Any thoughts on this?

Additionally, you can add those files you have already created as an attachment or an external URL (which they can either open a new window or open from that same page:

I hope this helps some!

Thanks @Kathryn Carter , Yes, I’m aware of this.

Yet, it would be very helpful to have the ability to import or use the API.

On another note, I’m wondering if iiQ has considered some KB integration with common vendors like Google, Microsoft/Office, Adobe, etc.

@jo.cpa Looks like we do not have an idea exchange item for them but would be a great request to our Idea Exchange: https://community.incidentiq.com/ideas

I agree this would be a nice feature. I just reviewed the API documentation and I don’t see any mention of the KB. To my knowledge, the only way to do it is one at a time manually unfortunately.

Converting Google Docs to KBs was on the short list, but after a handful of manual creations, it was moved to the long list. There might be some changes to how IIQ handles KB which may put it back on the short list...we have used https://www.selenium.dev/ in situations where we REALLY wanted to automate something that was only available in a web interface.

Thank you @bbeaudette @MattHenry for your feedback and assistance on this thread.

Hello,

We would like to be able to upload Knowledge Base articles in bulk via html file format. We have 395 articles and doing them individually will take too long.

@GDiaz 180d385 sbunified This would need to be submitted as a request to our Idea Exchange as we currently do not have that functionality. https://community.incidentiq.com/ideas
