I was just reading through the Rollout Scout enhancements and I found it odd that the Rule requires the Automated verification to be toggled on. If we are physically checking in/out devices with Rollout Scout, why would we not allow it to verify on a physical verification policy? Having it only work on an automated verification seems like the opposite of what we would be doing when using Rollout Scout.

I have updated the verbiage in the Whats New Post. It is not “required” to set up an automated policy. We highly suggest to do that so it will be easier to run a report and have those verified asset tied to policy.
But this is concerned “automated” within our system because a rule is triggering that action to verify.
Also, this rule will run with any form of checking in and out devices:
- Asset management integration (MDM)
- Manually assigning and un-assigning assets
- Bulk updating assets owner
- Basic Check in and out
- Rollout Scout Advanced Deployment check in and out
