Is there a rule I can set up for when a faculty or staff member adds an external email to the CC field it adds them as a follower to the ticket so they can follow along and submit comments?

I am referring to someone being CC’d when submitting a new ticket. I have tried it and it is not adding them as followers unless they are already in the incident IQ system.


@JSanic 607fe2f friends Ah. Gotcha! Unfortunately, cc’ing an external user to a ticket submitted via email will not add them as a follower. 

I would visit our idea exchange and propose this as a new enhancement/idea!

As a work around, you can add the external user inside the ticket via the ‘followers’ tab, and they will become a follower going forward for that ticket.
