I’ve noticed that I often try to post a comment… and it double posts.
I do not have this issue in any other systems I use.

Anybody else ever have this?

Hi @jo.cpa ,

I hope you’re doing great! Could you please let me know when you noticed this for the first time? Also, is this happening every time you post a comment?

I look forward to hearing from you!

Regards,

Jas

About once a day get a double post out of posting dozens and a refresh of the screen returns it to a single post.

Hi @FBrockmeier 53306e2 pca ,

Interesting. Could you please clear browser’s cache to see if that fixes this behavior?

Regards,

Jas

I have seen this too. I can’t tie it to any factor, and I can’t replicate the issue. It’s random. It usually takes only one page refresh for me to clear it up after I notice a double comment. I have tried clearing my cache and it doesn’t seem to help.

I would recommend taking screenshots of the double comment before your page refresh and include that in a support ticket. They have been very helpful and responsive with my support tickets this year.

Same with me.  The fact that iiQ doesn’t even use their own support tool any longer for support tickets is concerning.  No wonder they don’t know about issues like this.

I used the on-page support button to submit my ticket. I also receive emails and can respond to them there if needed.

Is the on-page button what you meant by the support tool?

I wanted to share this quote from @JHanley_iiQ who is our Director of Technical Support:

“As a software company dedicated to the K-12 space, our primary focus is, and always will be, all of you. We recently faced a critical decision:

  • Option A: Dedicate significant engineering resources to update our internal support tools to meet the complex needs of a modern SaaS company. This would pull development time away from our main product and your feature requests.
  • Option B: Integrate a best-in-class, external support tool designed specifically for this purpose. This would allow our engineering teams to remain 100% focused on building K-12 solutions, such as adding AI to simplify ticketing for your users.

After a deep analysis, we chose Option B. This decision, which was not made lightly, allows us to keep our development timelines focused on enhancing the Incident IQ platform for you, rather than on building internal-facing tools.”

@KRogers 970b53 ccsre1 @FBrockmeier 53306e2 pca For the double comment, if you have not already submitted a ticket to support, please submit one so the team can track who this is affecting. Adding screenshots will be a great way to help our team find the source of this glitch.

Isn’t option B a paid upgrade?

So… iiQ will not fix what doesn’t work and what people have been asking for and instead focus on making adding an AI ticket feature and make more money?

I don’t recall seeing the AI Ticketing feature request / Idea with 4 years and 400+ votes… like User Emulation, for example.

What is the source of this fix release date?  @KRogers 970b53 ccsre1 are you an iiQ dev?

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

No, I entered a ticket with IIQ support.

No, I entered a ticket with IIQ support.

Ah, so their initial iiQ reply of “clear cache and cookies” was just… well.
Thanks for putting in the ticket with them.

Do they actually use their own product?  Doesn’t seem like it.  The ticket experience with their support seem very different.

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

I’m not sure. They might not have known it was a widespread issue yet. I like to enter tickets for those issues because it helps make them aware of potential issues with the platform or updates they roll out.

I’ve entered 3 tickets in the past month and I’ve had great experiences with support. I’ve been impressed!
