Individuals need to be able to cancel events that only they create. As of right now, it seems to be an all or nothing in the policies. If they get events-manager (district) can they delete other people’s events? I need secretaries to be able to create events at any campus, but only be able to cancel the ones that they create.
Also, when a event is cancelled, is there a way to have everybody involved in the event to be notified that it has been cancelled?

Hi @chewb ,
I hope you’re doing great! Currently, the “Manage Events” permission allows a user to create, edit, and delete an event. But there is no filter or condition to limit the deletion of the events created by the user. You can limit a permission based on location by using the “Location” filter by clicking on the funnel icon on the right-hand side of the permission, but to limit the permission based on the user, this would be an enhancement request which you can share on our Idea Exchange page by clicking on the link below:
Our product team will review the idea and all the updates regarding this will be posted there.
Currently, a rule can send an email to the Owner of the event or you can select a specific user if you would like a specific user to be notified for all the events that get canceled. As of now, there is no option other than “Owner” and “Specific User” that could be used to notify everybody involved in the event.
To notify the owner or a specific user when an event is canceled, you can create a rule by navigating to Admin > Rule > Events > when ‘Canceled’ in the Events module. The action you need to add is “Send email alert to user”. I’ll attach a screenshot for your reference.
I hope this helps! If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. May you have a great rest of your day!
