I am hoping I’m overlooking something. Is there really no way to filter by the manufacturer. I created a custom field for tickets that I need to show up for any Lenovo device repair. I’m having to select all the Lenovo models we have which isn’t great because when we add new Lenovo devices to our environment we’ll need to come update these custom fields, rules, etc.

Great question and it got me thinking of another workaround.

You are able to filter by manufacture in an asset viewr, but unable to filter by that in a ticket view. Would like to see all the same filters throughout the platform. Here is an idea to go upvote

But you could filer your asset view with the manufacture filter and the filter “Asset Attribute > Has Open Tickets.” Just another thought to put out there 😁

Not as ideal as having a “manufacturer” filter (great idea), but if you go to model and type the name of the manufacturer you’ll get a list of all models from that manufacturer. You can then choose “select all matching results” at the bottom left. Obvious problem is the list is hard coded and you’d have to manually add any future models to the list if you add any new devices from that manufacturer.

@MattHenry Thank you for submitting your question.

As per @bclark , you cannot filter by manufacturer. However, this is a great work around!! 😄 Thank you for sharing.

Thanks! I believe I already upvoted that one. It was a very good suggestion!

“Has open tickets” is also a good idea for a veiw TY for that.
