How do I "undo" returning a spare asset?

I accidentally returned a spare asset on a ticket that I was updating because the spare asset had NOT been returned. Is there a “best practice” way of undoing this action?

(I tried deleting the “return spare” action, which did delete the action, but the asset is now no longer associated with the ticket, other than in the reference in the “issue spare” action in the timeline.)

(Somewhat relatedly, is there a way of backdating actions that are entered absent-mindedly after the fact? Clearly this would be something to avoid.)

@sbattis Thank you for submitting your question to our community! 😄

I went ahead and submitted an idea request on your behalf since it is not currently possible at this time! I understand that is very frustrating.

@sbattis I had done that a few times at my old district!  Although there isn’t any “undo” button as Kathryn mentioned, were you not able to reassign the spare to the ticket?  As you mentioned you can see the spare used in the timeline of the ticket to “re-issue” it if needed.

Thank you!

@MLund_iiQ true, I can do that… but I’d like to be able to backdate it to when I _really_ issued the device, if possible.
