Anyone out there a single building K-12 or a smaller district? Looking to see how others are using the “Locations”. We are redoing all of our room numbers and I got to thinking how to split the building inside of IIQ. We have an elementary end and a MS/HS end, but sometimes being float between areas. Also, do you do locations for things like Athletics?
Just wanting to see what others are doing as we blow out our IIQ a little and clean it up.
We have our locations and rooms set up as normal. If the device is a desktop, it gets assigned to a room and user. If it is a laptop, we ignore the room assignment and just assign it to the user.

This is a great topic for discussion! One thing I will note is that if you are one building with different areas, I would have it all be “one location” and spread/assign rooms within one. This will allow for better flexibility with floating between the elementary/middle/high school areas.
