Can a change be made so the details of the events are not visible to any user creating a new request?
For example, an outside organization creating a request should only see that a timeframe is unavailable but not see the details of that event. This information should only be seen by the admin users.

You can set events as private and the details of the event will not be shown. You can do this individually or in bulk using bulk actions. Here is the KB Guide to get you started!
