Is it possible to find out in which ticket(s) a custom field is used on without searching through the custom fields for each condition on the tickets tab of Custom Fields?

Hi @mcarrigan, Thank you for your question. Are you looking for the custom fields for existing and submitted tickets?

I’d like the ability to search for where a custom field definition is used.  For instance, if I created a custom field a few months ago and would like to see all the ticket conditions it’s used in, can I do that without having to look through the custom fields to the right of the conditions?   I can do a Find (Cmd + F) to search but am looking for more of a way to enter a custom field name and have IIQ tell me what ticket conditions it’s used in.

Hi @mcarriganThank you for responding. Yes, to search for where the custom field definition is used, you will have to look at the custom fields page and physically look at which conditions that field is applied.

Entering a custom field name and having IIQ tell you what ticket conditions it’s used in, would be a great enhancement suggestion for you to put into the Idea Exchange- https://community.incidentiq.com/topic/new?type=idea

Please let me know if I can assist you with anything else.

The only easier way would be to create a custom view that just shows all tickets that have a value for that custom field, then you can switch the view settings to whichever custom field you want to check at the time.

This is a great idea - thanks @TAnders!
