Question

filter user revisions

Not having a timeline for users the way assets do is a pain, as the revisions lists every sync with SIS and you have to scroll forever to find things like a device assignment. Is there a way to filter the results?

Happy Friday.   There is one option, but it needs to be run on individual user basis.  But you can create a view using the following filter.

1. Add filter called "Asset Field Changed"

2.Next

  • Set the date range you want to view their assignment history
  • Set the "Field changed:" to "Owner"
  • Under Previous value enter the user/students name.
  • Now hit Save

Now it shows all the assets that were assigned to the user in a given timeframe.

Let us know if that helps.

Thank you,

Is this in asset views? Users?

Apologies, these are Asset views.

The view doesn’t work. If the student is in the “previous” you get devices previously assigned, but not current. I tried a student who absolutely has a device assigned. And has had a change, and neither show (Dated back to install of IIQ through present)I don’t understand why this is not just on a timeline like device history.

Hi  @CCoon 200575f scituate, for the individual timeline tab, that would be a great enhancement request through your Idea Exchange.

One idea for current asset assignments is to create a USER custom view.

  • Use the Has Device Assigned Filter
  • Add Asset under the Columns Tab

Now this shows all users with assets currently assigned.

Just an idea.  Thank you
