Is there a way to grant Faculty view only access without the ability to make comments to tickets?

Our Facilities tickets must be submitted by the office staff at each school site. We did this to prevent duplicate tickets from our Faculty. They now want to be able to see the actions taken to be kept updated on the status of the tickets submitted for them. We would like to give them view only access without the ability to make comments to the tickets. Is this possible?
